Bhargava Narasimha Swamy

The Penance of Sage Parasurama
Perched on the banks of the sacred Akshaya Theertham, this temple tells a profound story of redemption. It was here that Bhagavan Parasurama (also known as Bhargava Rama) performed rigorous penance (Tapas) to seek the blessings of Lord Narasimha.
Having slaughtered generations of Kshatriyas to avenge his father, Parasurama sought to cleanse himself of the heavy sins of war. Moved by his devotion, Lord Narasimha appeared before him and purified his soul from the accumulated karma of the Kshetriya Samhara.
