Ahobilam, nestled in the Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh, is one of the most sacred Vaishnava temples in India. The temple complex, dating back to the 2nd century CE, consists of nine temples dedicated to the nine different forms of Lord Narasimha.
According to ancient texts, this is the place where Lord Narasimha blessed Prahlada after slaying Hiranyakashipu. The temple complex has been patronized by various dynasties including the Chalukyas, Vijayanagara Empire, and the Reddy kings.
